Fontina is the protagonist of the eighth edition of the Italian cuisine championships, organized in Rimini by the Italian Federation of Chefs as part of the "Beer & Food Attraction" event.
500 chefs will compete, divided into various categories, including teams and individuals.
"Fontina was chosen as the official raw material for the various cooking competitions - we read in a note - and is one of the main ingredients of the recipes on which the many competing chefs will compete".
A group of students from the Ecole Hôtelière de la Vallée d'Aoste proposed tastings of pure cheese and preparations with fondue.
"Due to its peculiarities, this event represents an extraordinary showcase for global catering, the right context to promote our excellent product which is extremely versatile and adapts perfectly to the preparation of various dishes in the kitchen, from the most traditional to the innovative ones " underlined the regional councilor for agriculture, Marco Carrel.
