“What’s Fortnight?”

» This tweet from Lady Gaga from October 2019 has aged poorly.

A little more than four years after wondering what the famous video game was, with a nice spelling mistake (the name of the game is “Fortnite” and not “Fortnight”), the singer surprised her world by announcing that she would perform in concert in the Epic Games game this Thursday, February 22.

On the sidelines of this same festival, “Fortnite” players were able to exclusively discover the music video for the song “Popular” by The Weeknd with Madonna and Playboi Carti on February 16.

This isn't the first time the survival game has collaborated with celebrities.

This was particularly the case with DJ Marshmello, American rap star Travis Scott, Ariana Grande and Eminem with concerts sometimes exceeding ten million viewers/players.

French singer Aya Nakamura also gave a virtual concert on “Fortnite” in October 2022.

In addition to being one of the most famous video games, “Fortnite” continues to aspire to become a must-have entertainment platform for young audiences.

If the game developed by Epic Games is much less popular than a few years ago, it still boasts more than 200 million active players at the start of 2024.
