The world "is again on the brink of the abyss" and there are legitimate concerns that a third world war could break out, but it is "absolutely stupid" to think that Russia "is preparing to attack the Baltic countries".
This was said by Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko, one of Putin's closest allies.
The Belarusian president then announced - reports SkyNews - that his army has received a new arsenal of weapons, including two anti-aircraft missile divisions and two divisions of Iskander-M missile systems.
