Nearly 5,000 reports of shortages or risks of stock shortages of a medication were reported last year, an increase of 31% compared to 2022 and 123% compared to 2021. Amoxicillin, Quasym, Tercian, Ozempic …many molecules were missing from pharmacies.
To stop the phenomenon, Catherine Vautrin, the Minister of Labor and Health, presents this Wednesday February 21, with the Minister Delegate for Health Frédéric Valletoux and his counterpart in Industry Roland Lescure, their anti-shortages plan.
Measures for 2024-2027 that the Parisian - Today in France was able to consult in preview.
The new plan, which extends the system put in place from 2019, is built on four pillars: “Innovate, produce, treat and prescribe, and finally deliver”.
“We put all the players around the table and we point out what worked or not to improve things,” argues Roland Lescure.
