An investigation file, without any hypothesis of crime or suspects, was opened by the Rome Prosecutor's Office after a complaint presented by the Avs deputy, Angelo Bonelli, by the secretary of the Democratic Party, Elly Schlein and by Nicola Fratoianni, secretary of Sinistra Italia, in relation to the project on the Strait of Messina bridge.
The 9-page complaint was filed in Piazzale Clodio on February 1st and concerns "the design and construction activity" of the infrastructure.
"Only in Italy is it possible to wage a political battle on a bridge, a motorway, on the TAV. The one on the Strait serves to unite millions of Sicilians, pollute less, travel faster. The Democratic Party has made a complaint to the prosecutor's office because we want to do the bridge, which is the right of millions of Italians".
Thus the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Matteo Salvini, speaking on Mattino 5. The probability of building the bridge over the Strait from zero to 100?: "It's 100", said the deputy prime minister.
