New embarrassing flop for the British armed forces, according to a revelation published today exclusively by the Sun. The tabloid details the failure of the test launch of a (weakened) Trident nuclear missile, the only pillar of the Kingdom's deterrent, which took place on 30 January off the coast of Florida.
The test took place under the eyes of the Defense Minister, Grant Shapps, who was on board the battleship Vanguard.
The missile crashed into the Atlantic Ocean not far from the ship.
It is the second flop out of two since 2016. The Defense Ministry limited itself to confirming that "an anomaly has occurred".
