has revealed a video of this meeting, which explains the origin of this discomfort.

The heir to the throne first congratulated the actresses, affirming that the nominees formed a “solid category” of the competition, and saluting their talent.
He nevertheless claimed not to have seen their films.
“I have a lot of films to catch up on… he said.
Normally I have some time before the awards ceremony.
I watch several of them.
I didn’t manage to see as many this year.”
He then extended his congratulations to Mia McKenna-Bruce, winner of the ceremony's Rising Star award.
Before saying to the latter: “I haven’t watched your film yet.
I think you had a lot of fun on set.”

, Mia McKenna-Bruce's film, ends with a scene in which the latter's character is raped during a vacation on a Greek island.

“I hope we catch up”
During the ceremony, Prince William nevertheless apologized, explaining why he was unable to watch the feature films.
“I’m sorry Catherine isn’t there, she loves the Baftas,” he said of his wife, who is recovering after “abdominal surgery”.
He thus admitted to having “other things in mind”.
