The former head of communications in the Federal Ministry of Transport, Wolfgang Ainetter, has written a crime novel that has brought many ex-politicians back into the spotlight.
Three years after completing his career at the Federal Office of Transport and Digital Affairs, the former spokesman for Andreas Scheuer, the then Minister of Transport, published a fictional crime novel.
This could possibly contain a grain of truth.
Ainetter assures
ZDF
that the book does not represent a settlement with his ex-boss.
How many parallels the reader can draw with reality remains uncertain.
The book will be available in stores from March.

Author Ainetter calls his crime novel a “fictitious bitter satire,” which is “primarily about lies and intrigue in Berlin’s government district,” as he says in the
Focus
interview.
With a background in psychology and a touch of Viennese charm, Wolfgang Ainetter is no stranger to the world of communication and politics.
He was head of communications in the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure under Andreas Scheuer and is very familiar with the center of power.
A high-ranking official is kidnapped - and Heidergott has to join the “BAO Finsterweg” investigative team.
Kidnap victim Hans-Joachim Lörr is about to retire and has made many enemies over the course of his civil service career, because in reality, as the minister's right-hand man, he always held the reins and put any subordinate who dared to object in a dark broom closet .

Before Ainetter took on his role in the Federal Ministry, he worked in the journalistic industry for a quarter of a century.
He worked as a journalist for 25 years, including as editor-in-chief of the Austrian weekly magazine “News” and as news director at “BILD”.
His diverse roles and experiences gave him a deep insight into the mechanisms of power and communication that appear again and again in his crime novels.

Ainetter's impressive career testifies to his ability to assert himself and shine in various fields, as the Haymon publishing house writes on its website.
The question remains exciting as to how much truth there is in this crime thriller.
