I had a productive discussion with Minister Caputo, with the Governor of the Central Bank, Santiagi Bausili, and with the Chief of Cabinet, Nicolas Posse, on the ongoing efforts to restore macroeconomic stability, protect the vulnerable and strengthen growth prospects in Argentina,” Gopoinath wrote in a post
on economic stabilization.
In the latest agreement, new reserve accumulation objectives were established by the Central Bank, moving to a target of 6 billion dollars by the end of March, compared to 4.3 billion dollars in the previous agreement.
Gopinath's agenda includes a meeting with President Javier Milei on Thursday.
Kristalina Georgieva's number two will also see representatives of the opposition, civil society and the private sector.
