Commander, Joe Biden's German shepherd, has bitten Secret Service men on at least 24 occasions at the White House and elsewhere.
This was revealed by internal USSS documents that CNN has seen.
The number does not include incidents that were reported by the administration and which led the presidential family to remove the dog from the residence.
The papers reveal how serious the situation had become for the hundreds of agents and other employees dealing with Biden, so much so that the Secret Service was at one point forced to change tactics in Commander's presence.
"The order is to leave more space for the dog," we read in one of the internal documents.
A warning that came months before the German shepherd was removed.
