Some technicians responsible for the work on the construction site of the collapse of Florence have been interviewed in recent days by the judicial police but, according to what emerges, they have so far been questioned as people informed of the facts, that is, as witnesses interviewed for initial information.
This was learned on the sidelines of the investigation conducted by the Florentine prosecutor's office for multiple manslaughter and negligent disaster on the structural failure of Via Mariti which caused five deaths and three serious injuries on 16 February.
It is not excluded that other technicians will be interviewed and that they will be questioned again during the investigation.
According to what emerges, among the technicians already interviewed are those in charge of the management of the works, those of the design and management of the structural works, and the person in charge of the works pursuant to Legislative Decree 81/2008.
Their reports as people informed of the facts are collected by the judicial police bodies, including the ASL Toscana Centro with the Department of Prevention of Accidents at Work, and are made available to the investigation opened by the prosecutor's office.
The Florence prosecutors investigating the collapse of Via Mariti could organize more technical assessments on the structural failure, but it will still take time to entrust the tasks to consultants.
This is what we learned on the sidelines of the investigation.
An appraisal will concern the state of the beam that collapsed, causing the collapse of the floors below, resulting in five victims and three injuries.
But the technical checks, according to what emerges, could also concern other aspects of the various construction phases.
