A luxurious private residential complex in Naples, Italy, recently went up for sale, and will become the most expensive property on earth - if a wealthy buyer is found to pay the asking price, which is about 275 million Euros, which is worth about 1.1 billion NIS.
The British "Sun" newspaper, which published the article, describes the isolated residential complex, located on a peninsula in the wealthy Port Royal neighborhood of Naples, as a luxurious oasis, on a total area of about 243 thousand square meters in front of the sea, with a private yacht basin, 3 swimming pools, magnificent vegetation and 3 magnificent mansions: a huge main house with an area of about 3,500 square meters, and "smaller" residences for entertaining with an area of about 1,800 and about 1,600 square meters.
The current owners of the land, who inherited it, tell "The Sun" that their parents bought the land in 1985 for about 930,000 euros (about NIS 3.7 million), after they spotted it in a flight over Naples.
In those days the area was mainly used for fishing, and included one cottage that was surrounded by mangrove trees.
The land he first purchased was 4.3 dunams.
Over the years, he continued to buy the surrounding land, and build on it as mentioned.
Now, their 13 children and 84 grandchildren of the late couple are parting with part of the family's expensive complex, which includes the three residences, in a deal that will break the world sales record.
"We all enjoyed it, but it's more or less time to move on," one of the family members told the media.
Interestingly, notable guests have visited the family's private oasis, including former US President George HW Bush and his wife Barbara.
