The Los Angeles police shot and killed an unarmed man guilty of threatening some officers with a plastic fork.
The American media reported it.
The incident happened last February 3 in a warehouse in the Californian metropolis, but today the police released the video showing a man, 36-year-old Jason Lee Maccani, confronted by about six officers with guns drawn.
The police had been alerted by an emergency call reporting the presence in the building of a man under the influence of alcohol and drugs who was threatening his employer.
The officers ask Maccani to approach with his arms raised, but he does not stop and continues walking with his hands closed, holding an object that the police believed to be a screwdriver.
At that point shots are heard.
According to the reconstruction of the agents, "the suspect grabbed one of the agents and the rifle he was holding from which a shot was fired", he said.
One of the policemen is under investigation for excessive use of force.
