In the recipe for homemade vegetable chips, spices and vegetables can be varied to taste.

  • 1 beetroot

  • 1 parsnip

  • 1 carrot

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 0.5 tsp pepper

  • Spices of your choice (e.g. paprika powder, chili powder, curry powder)

Preparing the vegetable chips is very simple:

  • Preheat the oven to 180 °C top/bottom heat.

  • Clean, wash, peel and cut or slice the beets, parsnips and carrots into very thin slices.

  • Mix olive oil in a bowl with salt, pepper and spices.

  • Add the vegetable slices to the bowl, mix well and spread on a baking tray lined with baking paper, making sure they do not overlap.

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes until crispy.

    Remove the vegetable chips from the oven and let them cool.
