part of the community.

34-year-old Yordan Bibbs was born and raised in Kibbutz Tzalim with his parents Panina Vali and his older sister Ofri.

He will always be the first to rush and get up to offer his seat to someone else, and even if there is another seat available, he will remain standing.

Jordan does not know how to rest.

He loves music, stand-up and animals so much.

He found his beloved dog Tonto when he was an abandoned puppy at a bus stop and rushed to adopt him.

Jordan is a big and strong guy with a gentle and sensitive soul and an extraordinary sense of humor.

He knows how to laugh at himself and, by and large, about any subject.

He manages to make everyone laugh, especially Shiri, even when she's the most nervous about him in the world.

He met his 32-year-old lover, who was born and raised in Nir Oz, through mutual friends.

Like everyone who meets Shiri, Jordan fell in love with her instantly.

Her gentleness and purity and her love for children and education, which she inherited from her mother Margit, captured Jordan's heart.

Although in recent years she has been mainly involved in managing the accounts in the kibbutz, Shiri will forever be an integral part of the education system in Nir Oz.

She raised and took care of the kibbutz children for years.

with barefoot and smiling children.

Shiri also did not remain indifferent to the captivating smile and the beautiful and kind eyes of Jordan, the creative and curious, who works as a welder.

The two became inseparable in a short time, and it was clear to both of them that their home and family would be built in the kibbutz.

Shiri and Jordan are meant to live as part of a community, among beautiful and tall trees and walking on wide paths, full of barefoot and smiling children.

Four years ago Jordan and Shiri became parents when Ariel was born, or as Jordan calls him "the first Yemeni redhead".

Ariel is a sweet and playful boy who loves superheroes and working in the garden.

He is crazy about tractors and cars, and his red (Yemenian) energy fills every room he enters with light.

About a year ago, Ariel received a gift from his parents in the form of a little brother, an infidel, a smiling and calm baby who lovingly embraces anyone who reaches out his hands.

His laugh melts hearts.

Jordan always laughed at the prospect of having a redheaded child.

He had two of these, two rays of orange light.

On the seventh of October Jordan, Shiri, Ariel and Kafir Bibs were kidnapped by Hamas from their home in Kibbutz Nir Oz.

Shiri's parents, Margit and Yossi Silverman, were murdered, as was Tonto.

  • 90 grams of brown sugar (divided into 70+20)

  • 1 egg L

  • 280 grams of thin oats

  • 60 grams of white flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom

  • Grating an orange from a whole orange

to fill

  • 130 grams of white sugar

  • 100 grams of brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon powdered milk (optional)

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom

  • Grating an orange from a whole orange

  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

  • 110 grams of melted butter

  • 100 grams of sweet cream

  • 4 egg yolks

to serve

  • sugar powder

  • Sour cream

Preparation

1.

Preheat oven to 175 degrees Turbo.

Grease baking paper and place on an oven tray.

2.

In a mixer bowl with a guitar hook, place 90 grams of butter and 70 grams of sugar and mix for five minutes.

3.

Add the egg and mix for another three minutes.

Carefully help with a spatula if you need to remove from the sides of the bowl.

4.

Add all the other ingredients (not including the rest of the butter and sugar) and mix just until combined.

5.

Using wet hands, spread thinly on the baking paper and bake for about fifteen minutes, until everything is properly browned.

Leave the oven on if you want.

We will return to it soon at the same temperature.

6.

Crush the baked surface into crumbs with your hands.

Mix with the remaining butter and sugars and grind in a food processor until a sandy mixture is formed.

Stick the mixture well on the entire pie pan and place it on an oven tray with baking paper.

7.

In a large bowl mix the sugars and spices.

Add the butter and beat well.

8.

Add sweet cream and egg yolks and beat until a uniform mixture.

9.

Pour on the cake that was waiting for us and bake for about half an hour at 175 degrees.

Lower to 160 degrees and bake for another 20 minutes, until the pie is browned but still vibrates a little in the center.

10.

Let the pie cool for two hours in the pan, take it out if you want and put it on the counter or in the fridge until tomorrow.

Reheat a little before serving, if desired, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with sour cream.

The recipe is part of Adi Shilon's "The Foods They Like Most" project, which shares stories of abductees through the reconstruction of pastries and desserts they love.
