EU countries will raise the issue of the reopening of some "fundamental acts" of the common agricultural policy on Monday at the Agriculture Council in Brussels.
This is what European diplomatic sources indicate a few days before the meeting of ministers, during which the EU Commission will present, as announced, some "short-term" measures to lighten the administrative burdens for farmers.
"For now the main focus of the simplification is the CAP", highlight the same sources, but the proposals of the Brussels non-paper will give rise to "a reflection" with "a much broader perspective of the current agricultural crisis".
