Stock market: Europe rises with quarterly reports, ECB minutes expected - Breaking news

Highlights: European stock markets are rising with investors showing optimism about the trend in global economic growth. Markets are boosted by the semiconductor sector after Nvidia announced a series of investments in the sector. The Stoxx 600 index gains 0.6% to 494 points, and reaches historic highs after the initial jump, reaching 496 points. The technology sector recorded a jump of 2.9%. The automotive sector is strong (+2%), with Mercedes (+4.8%) recording clearly growing results. On the currency front, the euro rises to 1.0852 against the dollar.

European stock markets are rising with investors showing optimism about the trend in global economic growth.

Markets are boosted by the semiconductor sector after Nvidia announced a series of investments in the sector.

We also look at the quarterly results with growing results.

After the Fedoggi minutes it's the turn of the European Central Bank, with government bonds showing calm.

On the currency front, the euro rises to 1.0852 against the dollar.


    The Stoxx 600 index gains 0.6% to 494 points, and reaches historic highs after the initial jump, reaching 496 points.

Frankfurt increased (+1.1%), despite the indications coming from the PMI indices, Paris (+0.7%) and Madrid (+0.4%).


   London flat (+0.01%).

The technology sector recorded a jump of 2.9%.

The automotive sector is strong (+2%), with Mercedes (+4.8%) recording clearly growing results.


    Insurance companies are in the spotlight (+1.5%), after the accounts of Zurich eAxa (+2.8%).

Banks were also positive (+0.4%).

Energy rises (+0.6%), in line with the price of oil.

The WTI gains 0.4% to 78.2 dollars a barrel.

Brent stood at 83.4 dollars (+0.4%).

Utilities were weak (-0.2%) as they were affected by the volatility of gas prices.

In Amsterdam, prices dropped 0.6% to 23.8 euros per megawatt hour.


    Government bond yields showed little change.

The spread between BTPs and Bunds is stable at 148 points, with the Italian ten-year rate at 3.93 percent.
