"I considered it important and urgent to report to you about the negotiations with the Ukrainian authorities to sign a bilateral security cooperation agreement, which the President of the Council is about to sign. I consider it necessary to anticipate to Parliament the contents and qualifying aspects of the ongoing discussions, which we hope to be able to bring to fruition already in the next days.".
This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani when he opened his hearing to the joint Foreign Affairs and Defense Commissions of the Chamber and Foreign Affairs and Defense of the Senate.
