In the quarterfinals the Italian n.26 in the ranking benefited from the withdrawal of the Kazakh Elena Rybakina, n.4, one of the fittest players of the moment, forced to withdraw due to a gastrointestinal virus.
Tomorrow Paolini will play for entry into the final either with the Czech Marketa Vondrousova, n.8 in the ranking, champion at the last Wimbledon, or with the Romanian Sorana Cirstea, n.22 WTA.
