The procedure to identify the new president of Istat has begun.
A note communicates the publication on the website of the Department of Public Function and on that of Istat of the public notice for the presentation of expressions of interest.
Interested parties, full professors in statistics, economics and similar subjects with international experience, have thirty days, until 11.59pm on 23 March 2024, to apply.
The participation form must be sent by certified mail, signed and accompanied by a valid identity document and curriculum vitae.
A body made up of three members and a secretary, appointed by decree of the Minister for Public Administration, will evaluate the candidates and submit to the Minister the three deemed to best meet the requirements.
The minister will formulate an appointment proposal to the Prime Minister who, following a resolution by the Council of Ministers, will request an opinion from the competent parliamentary commissions of the Chamber and Senate.
Following the opinion there will be the definitive resolution of the Council of Ministers and the decree appointing the President of the Republic.
