A feasibility study on the renovation of San Siro which must be delivered in three months.
This is one of the outcomes of the meeting that was held this morning in the headquarters of the Municipality of Milan, between mayor Giuseppe Sala, and the leaders of Milan and Inter, Alessandro Antonello, CEO of Inter, and Paolo Scaroni, president of Ac Milan.
The participants decided to undertake this path with Webuild spa which will collaborate pro bono, according to the availability already expressed in a letter, with the drafting of a feasibility study which must be delivered in three months.
The teams, as the Municipality explains, will produce guidelines for a possible renovation that will lead to the availability of a more modern and efficient stadium.
Following this, the Municipality and the teams will verify the possibility and methods to proceed.
The club representatives reiterated the need to protect any loss of stadium capacity during the works.
The interventions must therefore be compatible with the calendar of matches, sporting events and entertainment events, to avoid economic damage, "but above all to maintain an engaging, safe and comfortable experience for spectators", we read in the note from Palazzo Marino.
The project will consider urban developments in the San Siro area, in particular for its redevelopment.
Furthermore, a binding issue is that the stadium will have to become the property of the teams.
Mayor Giuseppe Sala noted that the teams will continue to explore the alternative possibilities already in place, "with the hope, however, that the path undertaken at San Siro will quickly lead to a satisfactory conclusion for all the players on the field", concludes the note .
