United Airlines announced Wednesday it will resume its flights to Israel starting next month, becoming the first American airline to make this decision since the October 7 Hamas attacks.
United Airlines plans to resume its first flights to Tel Aviv from Newark, near New York, on March 2 and 4, with the aim of restoring its daily schedule from March 6.
“United conducted a detailed safety analysis before making this decision,” the airline said in a statement, stressing that it will continue to “monitor the situation in Tel Aviv” and adapt its schedule “accordingly.”
