The capture of Avdiivka represents the greatest achievement achieved by Russia in the last nine months of war: the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, said this in an exclusive interview with Fox News.

Zelensky recalled Kiev's victories since the beginning of the conflict and confirmed his refusal to discuss any 'Plan B' for his forces.

"During these two years, they occupied the Kharkiv region (and) now we are in this region," he said.

“We unblocked the Black Sea, and now we have their grain routes… and we destroyed many of their ships,” added the Ukrainian leader, underlining: “We did this in two years. Yes, the last year was for the most part more complicated for us but... what was done, I think it was a good job."

Zelensky then noted that Moscow's only conquest in the past nine months was Avdiivka and, at the same time, refused to view Russia's lack of progress as a sign of a "new page" in the war.
