It's going to be a killer weekend.
ARD will show crime dramas at prime time on February 24th and 25th, 2024.
We'll tell you whether it's worth switching on.
Two crime novels, one weekend.
ARD has made murderous plans for the coming days (February 24th and 25th, 2024).
On Saturday, Erste is sending the “target investigators” on a dangerous mission for the third time.
“Polarjagd” is the title of the gripping thriller starring Ulrike C. Tscharre, Hanno Koffler and Lisa Wagner.
On Sunday at 8:15 p.m., our colleagues from Rostock will investigate in “Police Call: Thieves”.
Switch on or zap away?
We have done the crime check for you.
Best Nordic Noir
When love turns into boundless hate: Anne (Lisa Wagner) fled from her tormentor to the end of the world after he stabbed her numerous times.
With a new identity, she lives in a facility for trauma patients in the middle of nowhere in northern Sweden.
But the sick stalker, who was able to go into hiding, is hot on her heels.
So the “target investigator” duo Hanna Landauer (Ulrike C. Tscharre) and Lars Röwer (Hanno Koffler) set out to bring Anne to safety and hunt down the crazy stalker.

“Polar Hunt” is a captivating cat-and-mouse game in the best Nordic noir style.
The Swedish winter, the vast country, the pale colors - director Sebastian Ko implements Dagmar Gabler's script in a spectacular setting in an atmospherically dense manner.
It sends ARD crime fans through 90 dramatic minutes on Saturday.
A film that also takes the time to outline the perfidious terror of stalkers.
Lisa Wagner shines in the role of Anne, who was actually “an alpha male”.
Strong, confident, confident.
Until she met the wrong person.
One who wanted to own her, monitor her, control her.
In order to protect them, investigator Landauer takes on the role of decoy and reaches her limits.
Conclusion: A brilliant crime thriller that would also do well on Netflix and should delight thriller fans.
Solid crime fare
At first glance everything looks like a household accident.
The victim: pensioner Vera Bödecke, who was recently involved in dubious investment transactions by her younger partner.
The Rostock detectives Katrin König (Anneke Kim Sarnau) and Melly Böwe (Lina Beckmann) suspect that something is fishy and soon come across a witness who could shed light on the matter.
Yes, it could, because junkie mother Masha (convincing: Meira Durand) urgently needs money for material and her little daughter and gets involved in a dangerous double game... The “Police Call: Thieves” definitely has potential, tells of social injustice, Investment fraud and Katrin König's difficult father-daughter relationship.
But this solid Sunday evening crime thriller doesn't really get to the point.
The team from Rostock had a much stronger performance.
