"More than two years after the start of the illegal invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation, the Government of the Italian Republic is represented by a Minister and Vice President of the Council of Ministers who does not deny either the collaborative relations with Vladimir Putin's party or his declarations of praise to Putin himself.
In light of these considerations, Minister Salvini cannot worthily represent the Italian Republic but, on the contrary, demonstrates that he does not fully exercise his functions in the exclusive interest of the nation".
These are the reasons contained in the motion of no confidence formalized today by Azione, first signed by Matteo Richetti.
It is supported, with many signatures, by other opposition parties, from the Democratic Party to the Greens and the Italian left.
"For these reasons: having seen article 94 of the Constitution; having seen article 115 of the Regulations of the Chamber of Deputies - concludes the device - expresses its no confidence in the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport and Vice President of the Council of Ministers, Senator Matteo Salvini, and commits him to immediately resign.
The document also makes reference to Salvini's signing of the agreement with Sergei Zheleznyak, deputy general secretary of the Council for International Relations of the Russian political party "United Russia" belonging to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, who he had already been head of the party until 2012; this agreement, signed in Moscow on 6 March 2017, based on point 8) had a duration of five years and was automatically renewed on 6 March 2022, therefore following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
