A precautionary order under house arrest was carried out by the Digos of Florence against a person accused of having attacked the safety of the high-speed train on the Florence-Bologna route in Florence on 8 August, damaging an electrical panel, a piezometer and the related modem for transmission data, which is used to monitor the railway infrastructure, causing the line to be interrupted for a few hours.

The hypothesis of malicious removal of precautions against accidents at work was also contested.

According to the prosecutor's office, the investigating judge "recognised the aggravating circumstance of the purpose of terrorism".

The suspect, it is further explained, "has already been taken into custody and is currently subject to trial for other six similar incidents for which he was arrested on 25 January 2022, committed near the Scheggianico tunnel", the same affected by the action of the Last August 8th.

The attack was claimed on 14 August "on the areaanarchica website 'Il rovescio'", reports the prosecutor's office according to which "the arrested person, with this gesture and with his claim, intended to respond to two events: those of Carrara, concerning the execution of a precautionary measure issued against 9 anarchist militants, arrested in investigations by other judicial authorities, and those of Florence concerning the eviction carried out on 8 August in via Ponte di Mezzo".
