Bad times for Bayern, separated at home with Tuchel, fresh from three knockouts which have compromised the season for now, and awaiting the key match against Leipzig, fighting with Dortmund for fourth place, who has already mortified them in August with a peremptory 3-0 in the Super Cup.
"I'm not the only problem."
Thomas Tuchel has announced, together with Bayern Munich, that he will end his experience in Bavaria in June, a year ahead of his contract.
And now that he feels free to do and speak, he promises "more reckless" choices.
The German coach, who has long been under the spotlight of the local media due to the risk of being sacked, spoke about his situation on the eve of the Bundesliga match against Leipzig, an opportunity to start again and shorten Bayer Leverkusen's lead with an eight-point lead.
"The only thing that matters now is that there is clarity - said Tuchel - Clarity brings freedom and is good for matches and training".
The 50-year-old Bayern coach specified that he was also referring to "the coach's freedom in how to act. You don't have to think about the long-term consequences of your choices. You can be a little more reckless."
"It doesn't matter if I understand the club's choice and if I'm happy with it or not - he then answered the journalists' questions - I don't think I'm the only problem, but I assume my responsibilities. I'm not satisfied with how we play and I'm dissatisfied for some time".
But freer.
The Bavarians, already 8 points behind the undefeated league leaders, Leverkusen (from whom they would like to take away coach Xabi Alonso for next season), could take the field at -11 given that the Bundesliga leader beats Mainz.
It will take Kane's goals and Musiala's magic to straighten things out.
Stuttgart's task against Cologne was easy, Dortmund's against Hoffenheim was more complicated.
