The worry that citizens' money won't last until the end of the month is a reality for many people.
However, a woman from Rostock experienced a pleasant surprise on her account.
Munich - The RTL ZWEI program “Hartz und cordial” shows the daily lives of people in socially disadvantaged areas.
The format regularly brings episodes with different main characters and life circumstances.
It presents both people who live on the edge of subsistence despite being employed, as well as those who receive social assistance - such as a citizen's benefit recipient from Rostock.
Recently, the series also introduced a young man who is dissatisfied with his education.
Citizen's benefit recipient Pamela had to live in a tent for a while
It is undisputed that the monthly citizen's allowance for adults, which amounts to 563 euros, does not enable a luxurious lifestyle.
Most recipients of these social benefits struggle every month with the fear that the money will run out before the end of the month.
57-year-old Pamela can tell you a thing or two about it.
Therefore, her joy is even greater when she unexpectedly finds a large transfer in her account.
Pamela has been a recurring character on RTL ZWEI for several years.
Her moving story was told over several episodes of the show.
It became clear that Pamela's living conditions were often very difficult.
The 57-year-old even had to live in a tent for a while.
However, she now has a permanent place of residence: a room in a hostel that is financed by the job center.
However, an unexpected money transfer temporarily alleviates their financial worries.
The widow's pension of the citizen's benefit recipient was mistakenly transferred to an old account
In the 84th episode of the seventh season of “Hartz und Herzen” Pamela encountered an unexpected money transfer in her bank account.
It was an amount of 1000 euros.
This money turned out to be her widow's pension, which appeared to have been mistakenly transferred to an old account over a long period of time.
Pamela reports: “It cost around 2,000 euros.
They gave me half of it.
Almost 1000 euros”.
But the money wasn't meant to last long.
1000 euros were intended for the citizen's benefit recipient and had previously ended up in the wrong account.

The recipient first used the citizen's money she received to purchase a bed for her friend Regina.
In addition, she “paid for a purchase and bought tobacco.”
She also bought a refrigerator.
The hostel where she is staying has a communal fridge - but thefts often occur, as Pamela explains.
That's why she's particularly happy about her own small refrigerator.

The “hard and warm” protagonist wants nothing more than her own apartment
Pamela actually has the deepest desire for her own little home.
She longs to finally move into her own apartment.
The hostel only serves as temporary accommodation.
“And nothing happens, nothing at all!” complains Pamela’s friend Regina.
The 57-year-old recipient of citizen's money has already spent a year and a half in the hostel.
“This really sucks,” says Regina.
