The fierce storm that devastated the city of Córdoba in the last few hours
caused flooding, cars dragged by water, flooded houses, evacuees and power outages, among other complications that hit the different cities of the province.
From the Municipality of Córdoba they reported that between 40 and 60 millimeters fell there in the northern area and between 70 and 80 millimeters in the southern area.
In the Los Robles neighborhood, in the western sector of the capital of Córdoba, residents could not sleep.
They spent all night on Thursday and early on Friday trying to
remove the water
that had entered their homes.
Some even made holes for the water to flow and reach a drain.
“In this house and in several others, holes had to be made in the walls
because the water level was such that even the patios were flooded,” a neighbor told
El Doce TV
.
He specified that in some cases up to 50 centimeters of water entered.
A dramatic scene took place on the Sagrada Familia bridge - the northern part of the City - where the driver of a Peugeot 3008 was surprised by the power of the water flowing through the streets and was trapped in the middle of the flood.
With the help of neighbors, he was able to be rescued.
The driver, 71 years old, was able to escape right through one of the rear windows of the car.
Moments later he was sucked down the drain and remained embedded under a bridge.

The storm broke out this Friday at dawn and left neighbors evacuated and trees down.
Cristian, one of the men who took it out, told the El Show del Lagarto program that the vehicle “started to spin” due to the force of the water.
“We wanted to get him out, the man thought we were going to rob him and raised the windows,” he commented and added: “he didn't let us help him.”
“Normally we are always taking cars out, we tie them to the poles or trees as best we can, that's why they don't take them,” he said about what they do every time it rains torrentially and assured: “When it comes overgrown like this, a current hits you and you don't. There is a way to escape.”
In the town of Obispo Trejo, in the north, Route 17 is closed because a large part of that town was under water, according to La Voz.
About 140 millimeters fell there in a few hours, causing flooding in the streets.
