A charity marathon organized during the Christmas period by the young streamer Dario Ferracci, aka Moonryde, on the Twitch platform, involved thousands of kids, including followers and web stars, bringing in 109,439.81 euros which were delivered today to the Admo Lazio Foundation.
The initiative in favor of the bone marrow donors' association starts from the story of Andrea Farinacci, a boy from San Cesareo (Rome) who fell ill with leukemia in 2019 and asked his friends and many other young people to join the marrow donor register bone and to donate blood.
After losing his childhood friend Andrea, Dario Ferracci decided to give his contribution to the cause by involving his followers with the aim of raising young people's awareness of donating and fundraising.
During the live broadcasts, Dario repeatedly told anecdotes in which he remembered Andrea, explaining how necessary it was to find a compatible donor for each patient who has to undergo a transplant and inviting young people to sign up to the register and become potential donors, because only one person in one hundred thousand turns out, on average , compatible with a patient.
Admo Lazio thanked Dario and his community for the great contribution which will be aimed at increasing bone marrow and hematopoietic stem cell donors in the region.
All young people aged 18 to 35 are invited to find out about the donation via the website www.admolazio.it - 0679785526.
