"The European Union continues its futile attempts to exert pressure on Russia through unilateral restrictive measures: we believe they are illegal" and "we will respond" by expanding "the list of European representatives who are banned from entering the Russian Federation".
The Russian Foreign Ministry underlines this following the European Union's decision to launch the 13th package of sanctions against Moscow.
"In response to these hostile actions, the Russian side has significantly expanded the list of representatives of European institutions and EU member states who are prohibited from entering the territory of our state."
