Friday evening, in the 9th arrondissement of the capital, a rain of rhinestones fell on the 49th Cesar ceremony.
The personalities of French cinema struck a pose on the red carpet which surrounded the Olympia before joining the room.
The opportunity to see two polar opposites coexist, between sobriety on one side and the fire of glitter on the other.

The latter were in fact almost as numerous as the celebrities, inviting themselves to the outfits of Marion Cotillard, of Sandra Hüller, César for best actress, of Léna Mahfouf, who hosted the live social networks of the ceremony, of Irène Jacob and many other celebrities.
Others had chosen minimalism.
Black dresses were thus an outfit of choice, adopted by Élodie Bouchez, who wore a dropped shoulder version signed Saint Laurent, for Tess Barthélémy, in Celine and for Nadia Tereszkiewicz.

Other actresses have set their sights on haute couture, like Marion Cotillard, who wore Chanel's latest collection, or Diane Kruger, who sent the internet into a frenzy by wearing a Jean Paul Gaultier haute couture corset dress by Simone Rocha.
The tailors also received their invitation cards, worn by Adèle Exarchopoulos, who received the César for best supporting actress in Coperni, by Sandra Hüller, in Louis Vuitton, by Ana Girardot in Celine, and by Kim Higelin in Chanel.
