    Among the main stocks on the Milanese list, the banks' race continues following the scenario outlined by Il Foglio on a consolidation of the sector which would involve a large operation involving Unicredit, Mediobanca and Generali.

Thus the Piazzetta Cuccia group rose by 5%, Generali and BancaGenerali by 3.8%, Banco Bpm by 3.5%.

Cautious Unicredit increases by about one percentage point.

Tim flat, down 0.8% Erg and 0.9% Snam.


    In the energy sector, gas reduces losses and now drops 1.8% to 22.7 euros, correcting the lows since August 2021, and oil remains weak, losing 1.6% to 77.2 dollars a barrel.


    Government bonds were calm, with the spread between BTPs and Bunds falling slightly to 146 basis points.
