"Tomorrow I will be in Copenhagen where I will also meet the vice-president of the EU Commission, Vestager, because we must be authorized for the 320 million bridging loan, which must be repaid, in order not to be subjected to the constraint of state aid. We must therefore document the possibility that it returned and, to do this, the plant must be relaunched.

In Taranto "there are several ships in the port or in the harbor that are unable to unload the raw materials, because you have to pay in advance but there is no cash desk. There are no, or few, raw materials in the warehouses. This is the first assessment that the commissioner is making", added Urso.
"Without raw materials the plants stop. And when this happens for a steel plant the impacts are very important", he explained.
"Commissioner Giancarlo Quaranta has already taken possession of the company. I myself will go to Taranto on Tuesday to meet the workers, representatives of the trade unions, businesses and local authorities".
