A long phase of very unstable and at times disturbed weather has begun, due to the return of the Icelandic Depression, i.e. the extensive low pressure center located near the island of the same name and which is the hotbed of almost all Atlantic disturbances .
Antonio Sanò, founder of the website www.iLMeteo.it, explains that at least until the first days of March the weather will often be unstable, with lots of rain and still lots of snow in the Alps.
Today begins with a general improvement in the weather in the Centre-North where the sun will shine again.
Friday's disturbance will instead move towards the southern regions, where it will rain for almost the whole day.
Sicily will thus be able to breathe a first sigh of relief given the serious drought underway.
By the evening, however, a new unstable impulse will cause rainfall to return to the North with snow in the Alps above 500 metres, scattered rainfall also in Tuscany and Liguria.
On Sunday we will need to pay attention to the South
as a cyclonic vortex will form, responsible for an acute phase of bad weather with heavy rain, especially in Sicily and Calabria: the risk of flooding or flash floods will be high.
The sun, however, will prevail over the rest of the regions, but already in the evening the weather will worsen again in the North-West due to the arrival of another cyclone, responsible for the widespread worsening expected for next week.

Next week, Italy will be reached by the Tyrrhenian cyclone
, an insidious vortex that will remain semi-stationary for many days. From Monday 26th this very unstable phase will begin, or perhaps better said, continue. The precipitations will affect, on alternate days, all the regions being locally abundant and more persistent in the North. It will continue to snow widely in the Alps, but at altitudes on average above 1200 metres, in the Apennines above 1400-1500 metres. To have a semblance of better weather, the current data they say we will have to wait until at least March 4th."
