Husky lady Sapphie has an extraordinary talent.

Using a clever trick, she tells her owners that the baby's diaper is full.

Childcare can be quite stressful.

With this full-time job, a helping hand is always welcome.

Especially when the support is so incredibly reliable, as in the case of a family from San Diego, California.

Husky lady Sapphie has an extraordinary talent for babysitting.

Using a clever trick, the three-year-old dog sounds the alarm when it's time to change the baby's diaper.

Dogs can't speak.

But Husky Sapphie has found a clever way to communicate her needs in words.

Pure coincidence, as American Sheena Shah tells

Newsweek

: “We were actually just browsing the internet for interactive toys for Sapphie and happened to come across the buttons for dog training.” Together with her husband Sunit, she regularly shoots stories and videos of her Bitch for the

TikTok

channel @sapphie_the_pomsky, which is followed by more than six million fans.

Sheena and Sunit playfully integrate the colorful buttons into everyday life to keep the dog busy.

The special thing about the buttons: They store voice commands that the owner has previously spoken.

Depending on which button the dog presses with her paw, the voices of her owners sound.

The fur nose quickly internalized “walking”, “treats”, “playing” and “attention”.

Because Sapphie learns so quickly, other terms like “Mommy,” “Dad,” and “I love you” follow.

“Over time, we realized that it wasn’t so much about what she pushed, but how she did it – with so much sass, poise and verve,” says Sheena Shah.

Finally, the couple comes up with a fun video idea: What if their dog could say that her baby's diaper is full?

For the experiment, the owners play the words “poo” and “change diaper” on two buttons.

And lo and behold: As soon as Sapphie sniffs a dirty diaper with her sensitive nose, she knows what to do.

She purposefully navigates to the right buttons and sets off the alarm for Papa Sunit at the push of a button.

Cognitive abilities in dogs – four-legged friends are intelligent and capable of learning

The Husky lady's cognitive abilities make it clear: dogs are amazingly intelligent and capable of learning, so they can master even complex tasks - for example with the help of clicker training.

They understand signs, gestures and human commands and can even learn up to 200 words.

Dogs also learn from each other: They observe the behavior of their peers and imitate it.

TikTok users are amazed – “How did you teach her that?”
