"Two years of war. Hit and battered, but still standing. Ukraine is fighting for itself, for its ideals, for our Europe. Our commitment at its side will not wane": wrote the French president, Emmanuel Macron, in a message published on X today 24 February, the second anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Macron attaches to his message a photo of a mural made in rue Bouot, in the thirteenth arrondissement of Paris, which depicts a young woman, an allegory of Ukraine, walking with a wreath of flowers and the yellow-blue flag, crushing tanks as she passes by.
