The agreement for security guarantees with Ukraine "has a duration of ten years and is the most complete and important signed with a country not part of NATO".
Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said this at a press conference in Kiev.
Without adding details on the economic commitment for Italy, he explained: "We continue to support Ukraine in what I have always considered the right of its people to defend themselves. This necessarily also presupposes military support because confusing the much vaunted word peace with surrender, as some do, it is a hypocritical approach that we will never share."
