Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is in Kiev on the second anniversary of the war in Ukraine, and from here she will hold the G7 video conference, in which Volodymyr Zelensky will also speak.
Meloni arrived in the capital aboard the same train on which the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, Alexander De Croo, Prime Minister of Belgium who is the rotating President of the EU Council, and the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau traveled.
The trip has only now been made official for safety reasons.
From Russia, meanwhile, the army reports that the Minister of Defense, Sergei Shoigu, visited the troops in the occupied territories of Ukraine.
