The pro-Palestine march started from Piazzale Loreto in Milan, with the participation of associations, unions and opposing groups as well as young Palestinians in Italy.

Thousands are traveling along Viale Andrea Doria towards Piazza Duca D'Aosta, where the Central station is located, with a route which, according to forecasts, will arrive around 8pm in Piazza Cairoli, in front of the Sforzesco Castle.

"Today Milan is Palestinian again", the activists said into the megaphone, explaining that they took to the streets to "say that the Palestinian people exist and resist".

'A stone here, a stone there, intifada here too' is one of the slogans chanted by the demonstrators, who carry placards with slogans, including 'it's not a war but a genocide'.

The Milan Police Headquarters has set up a complex security device to guarantee public order both for the pro-Palestine procession and that of the Milanese Ukrainian community which is taking place simultaneously from Piazza Castello to Piazza San Babila.
