 The Israeli air force yesterday hit two targets located along the border between Gaza and Egypt, close to the so-called Philadelphia Axis, which caused great fear in Rafah among the displaced Palestinians who set up tents in that area.

Israeli military radio explained that the targets hit were the entrance to a smuggling tunnel dug under the border and a Hamas weapons warehouse.

At the moment there is no news of victims in those attacks.

 Israeli troops also continue their offensive in southern Gaza, particularly in Khan Yunis.

The military spokesperson made this known by reporting that "during efforts to evacuate the civilian population from the combat zones, soldiers identified and captured terrorists who were trying to escape by hiding among civilians".

According to the same source, "terrorists were killed and weapons were located" in Khan Yunis.

Operations also in the center of Gaza where the IDF, especially in Zaitun, the western neighborhood of Gaza City where "several terrorists were killed".  

Meanwhile, a Palestinian source told Sky News Arabia that it is likely that the government of Palestinian Authority (PA) Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh could resign soon to favor a new Palestinian government of technicians by the end of this week.

According to the broadcaster, these developments reinforce reports that Hamas agreed last week to the formation of a caretaker government whose mission is to rebuild Gaza and restore security after the war.

Sky News Arabia sources suggest that the head of the Palestine Investment Fund, Muhammad Mustafa, would be in charge of forming the government. 

Israeli delegation leaving for Qatar for hostage talks

to continue talks on the release of the hostages and a possible truce in Gaza.

According to the media, this was decided by the War Cabinet after examining the content of the mediation talks held in Paris with the USA, Egypt and Qatar itself.

The Houthis announce an attack on a US oil tanker in the Red Sea

 The military spokesman of the Houthis, a Yemeni group linked to Iran, Yahya Saree announced that "a military operation targeted the American tanker Torm Thor in the Gulf of Aden with several missiles".

He reports it to Al Masirah, a broadcaster owned by the Houthis.

Saree added that "some American warships in the Red Sea were targeted with several drones."

US Central Command (Centcom) says the USS Mason destroyer shot down an anti-ship ballistic missile launched in the Gulf of Aden by the Houthis that was likely targeting the tanker.

“The Zionists try to achieve victory by killing children, women and defenseless people, but the divine victory will be for the devoted people of Gaza, who have not given up resistance in the current war,” Salami added, quoted by Mehr.
