Back to school day in uniform for the 732 students from the four schools in the city center of Béziers participating in the national experiment on wearing unique uniforms.
The Béziers establishments get the ball rolling, soon joined, as far as the Montpellier academy is concerned, by schools from Perpignan (Pyrénées-Orientales), La Grande-Motte and Pérols (Hérault), i.e. potentially eleven in all, with nearly 2,200 students.
Twin sisters Emma and Lola, 9 years old, are among the first to appear at the door of La Chevalière elementary school this Monday morning.
They chose to wear the skort because “it’s back to school”.
Same outfit for Aya and Inès, 9 and 10 years old, who agreed on Sunday with their friends to all come dressed the same.
Emma has a smile on her face, even if she still feels a little “blah blah”, she admits.
In question, the colors of the uniform, “gray, white and navy blue”, she who is used to wearing “pink, orange, blue…”
