There is no peace in Saudi Arabia for Cristiano Ronaldo.

Cr7 once again ends up at the center of controversy for his "immoral behaviour" in the country: this time the Portuguese is under investigation for a rude gesture towards opposing fans during his Al Nassr's victory against Al Shabab.

Every time he touched the ball, chants started in favor of arch-rival Lionel Messi, so when Ronaldo scored he first put his hands to his ears and then dramatically pointed to his groin, waving his hand, as a sign of provocation.

The Disciplinary Committee of the Saudi Football Federation immediately opened an investigation with the acquisition of the images, local media reported with wide coverage in Portugal, home of Cr7.

In the Saudi country, where there is a very strict observance of Muslim prescriptions, a gesture of this type is absolutely not permitted in public.

Furthermore, Al Shabab supporters expect a harsh intervention.

The issue goes beyond Saudi "political correctness".

As if that wasn't enough, the former Ballon d'Or winner is also a repeat offender.

Last week a video surfaced showing him leaving the pitch at the end of the lost match against Al Hilal: the attacker is seen picking up a scarf from the opposing team, rubbing it against his groin and throwing it to the ground again.

The excesses of the European champion risk becoming a problem not only for him but for the Saudi federation itself which has indicated him as a testimonial in view of the football World Cup.

A 1 billion euro contract.

In January, controversy arose over a family issue.

In the country it is forbidden to live together outside of marriage but the Lusitanian footballer lives together with his partner Giorgina to whom he is not married.

The issue was raised but the Saudi kingdom granted the couple an exemption: a sort of "ad personam" law that allows them to live together under the same roof.

It seems that in the case of the footballer a blind eye was turned.

The suspicion is that this time too we can do the same thing and close the issue of the rude gesture with a simple fine.

Giorgina herself caused further scandal in the country.

The model who often posts selfies in a swimsuit or mini dress on social media is accused of appearing on some public occasions dressing inappropriately.

A month ago she went to a restaurant wearing a black dress that showed off her legs.

The Saudi rule requires women to "dress modestly, always covering their legs and shoulders", effectively banning dresses and miniskirts.

Which is why yet another scandal broke out.
