Last November, Jeff Bezos shared on his personal Instagram page a nostalgic video from 1994, in which he looks young and geeky in the warehouse of an apartment in Seattle, where he founded one of the largest and richest companies in the world - Amazon.

In the exciting post, Bezos wrote that after twenty years in the city of Seattle (in a different apartment, if that's not clear) - he is returning to the city of his youth, Miami, where he invested tens of millions of dollars on a luxury property.

About two months later, perhaps by chance or perhaps to take advantage of the moment of fame - the house was offered for sale in the amount of 2.29 million dollars, which is worth about NIS 8.3 million.

This week, the New York Post published that only a month after it was put on the market, the property found a new owner, who did not bargain and purchased the historic three-room apartment for the asking price of $2.29 million.

The contract was signed on Wednesday last week, and the buyer asked to remain anonymous.

The house is located 20 minutes from downtown Seattle, Washington.

Bezos, 60 years old, rented the modest apartment about 30 years ago, in 1994. As mentioned, he founded the technological commerce giant, "Amazon", in the warehouse of this property, which he rented for only $890 a month

However, it is worth noting that the house that Bezos rented no longer exists as it was, but underwent a complete restoration in 2001, which significantly changed its appearance, as well as the appearance of the warehouse.

The property changed hands for the last time about 5 years ago, in 2019, and fetched $1.52 million.

Let's recall that Bezos, who recently announced his intention to move to Miami, pocketed about $8.5 billion in cash over the past two weeks by selling a huge stock of 50 million Amazon shares.
