Ernesto Assante, historic journalist of Repubblica, a point of reference for Italian musical journalism, has died in Rome.
He had recently turned 66 on February 12th.

Born in Naples in 1958, after his collaboration with ilmanifesto he began writing for Repubblica, where he was sent until 2021 and responsible for the supplements Musica, Computer Valley and Computer, Internet e Altro.
He directed McLinke Kataweb.
On TV he was a consultant and author of numerous programs, including Sanremo.
