The families of victims of the Steccato di Cutro shipwreck and some survivors will file a civil suit for compensation against the government for its failure to provide assistance and for the damages suffered as a result of the tragedy.
One of the family members announced this during a press conference in Crotone.
The appeal, explained the lawyer Stefano Bertone, who together with his colleagues Marco Bova and Enrico Calabrese assists around fifty families and some survivors, will be presented once the criminal investigation coordinated by the Crotone Prosecutor's Office has concluded and will concern the Presidency of the Council and the Ministries of the Interior and the 'Economy.
