The Iliad group has reached an agreement with Kinnevik to take over a 19.8% share of the capital of the Swedish telephone operator Tele2 for 13 billion crowns, equal to approximately 1.16 billion euros.
The operation, as stated in a note, was conducted through the vehicle FreyaInvestissement which, at the end of the transaction, will become the reference shareholder of Tele2.
The telco is one of the main telecommunications companies in the Nordic and Baltic countries and closed 2023 with revenues of 29 billion crowns, equal to 2.6 billion euros.
