"With this report he is safe in prison. But I trust in the Court of Assizes. I believe that the climate is now spoiled by the fact that the prosecutor investigated me and the psychologists, which has frightened everyone".
Thus the lawyer Alessia Pontenani, lawyer of Alessia Pifferi, who in July 2022 abandoned her one and a half year old daughter at home, causing her to die of starvation, commented on the expert report which established that her client "was capable of understanding and wanting".
The defender with two psychologists from San Vittore, where Pifferiè is imprisoned, is accused of forgery for a report which certifies the woman's mental deficiency.
