Once discarded in the flour production phase, it has returned to the forefront with Molino Casillo, an Apulian company that is an international leader in the processing and distribution of wheat.

Thanks to three processes patented by the company's research and development division and cylinder milling, Molino Casillo is today able to preserve the properties of the wheat germ unaltered.

 After transformation into oil, this is added to the flour again to give life to the super premium "Origine" line.

With this production method, the elements and nutrients of the wheat germ - non-gluten proteins, essential oils and antioxidant substances - are maintained in the flours, perfect for the production of high-quality leavened products of the Italian tradition.

Sustainable flours, the result of a circular economy process, which extends the shelf life of the product and brings the characteristics of a quality grain intact to consumers' tables, with undoubted advantages from an organoleptic and metabolic well-being point of view.

Molino Casillo - the eleventh Italian industrial group founded in 1958 by Vincenzo Casillo in Corato (Bari) - recorded a consolidated turnover of 2.3 billion euros in 2023. World trader of durum wheat, with a share of approximately 70% of the market, has on 15 milling plants in Italy.
