The public prosecution has requested a two-year and 11-month prison sentence for Russian dissident Oleg Orlov, former co-president of the Memorial foundation which was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2022.
The online newspaper Mediazona reports it.
Orlov is accused of "discrediting" the Russian military under a gag law that effectively bans criticism of Russian troops' invasion of Ukraine.
